Everything works fine the way it is just need stronger oar locks I'm thinking stainless 1/2 bolt and weld a U bracket for the oar on top of bolt in a 2in pieces of tubing welded on a flat bar pined.....I only use the oars to get through the surf and for back up in case my trolling motor quits and for exercise I can fish longer and more conformable and high and dry then my kayak and not nearly as tired....k surplus is good I been in there its around the corner from metal mart.
