Hiya,
I’ve invented a new rig for catching live baits that might have been good to use in your situation.

IMAGINE THIS: A Sabiki rig that is easy to manage, it doesn’t tangle, its hooks and lures can be changed in a snap, you can use it on any rod you like, also it can be used again and again and again.

Well, there isn’t a Sabiki like this, because its called a Blackbow rig. It does all of this and more.
