I launched on the north side of IB peir...

Loaded up with mackerel at the tip of peir and paddled out to the kelp beds, for no takers.Only saw one boat
I didn't have a graph. I did that twice second time coming in I got slammed pretty good. Most of the time it was to big to get out.
There's ect in IB kelp beds

Holding on to my kayak.

I would suggest launching from avienda del sol 1 blk. south of Hotel Del. only a skip and a jump to the ocean compared to the rest of Coronados access points. I have not launched from there yet, but would only go when the surf is less than 2 feet high. the Coronado closeouts could pose a challenge on the paddle out.
