I didn't read all the posts but just my 2C You might want to invest in one with of peddle drive. Let me tell you why. I have been fishin a 14' prowler for many years in the ocean lakes and bays. If you can't hold your position you are at a disadvantage. You won't know it till someone is fishin next you and they kick your butt because they could hold their position. It happened to me and I never knew how many fish I was missing out on. So either get a peddle drive or don't fish with others

You may want to start with a cheaper yak, see how you like it. I'm telling you if you have a competitive bone in your body get the peddle drive. That's all, have a great day.

I have an old scupper pro if your interested in it. Fair offer would work. They used to be the *hit back in the day. Still a good boat.
