some of the most consistent, LEGAL halibut I've seen caught were on a pack of grubs that looked like this

The small hook-up baits definitely get bit. Try more towards the coves and a little farther back in the bay.

I would add Big Hammer perch grub, dark green with red flake.
These work good for keeping your kid busy. Anything will eat these. |

Dropshotting on an Aberdeen hook with a 3 inch zoom fluke, one with split tail, not a paddle tail. I like white and my favorite is grey.
