Noob kayaker looking for info

i have a Cobra fish n dive and I like it. Its really slow but very stable. I got turned sideways in the surf saturday and it just pushed me towards the sand, but the guy in the malibu behind me flipped. Don't get me wrong, malibu and ocean kayaks are good, just not as stable as a fish n dive. Look around on other kayak fishing sites like:

Usually you can find a deal on a used one. No reason to get a new one (in my opinion) until you know what qualities you want and what qualities you don't mind being sacraficed (stability, speed, comfort, single or a tandem, rod holders, are there custom bait tanks available?, etc)
