Are conger eels any good to eat? Always great to see fish from other parts of the world! Welcome to BWE! I embedded video for you - to get the code, just click on the Embed button on YouTube... Once you paste it in the thread, make sure you get rid of the hyperlink auto-formatting... ![]() |

Very cool video. It's hard to pin down exactly why, but eels are just a little creepy. May be it's a snake thing. In the eel world congers are actually decent looking. Our eels here in Cali are kinda nasty, morreys just get uglier and uglier every time you see one, wolf eels are just amazingly ugly, and the blood sucking lampreys they call eels in the rivers of North Cal are on the sinister side. Thanks guys - glad you liked the video - thanks for the advice on how to embed - I will do that next time.
The congers are a bit scary - they have no fear and one of my mates has a phobia with them - they are like snakes, so that's probably what it is. The rod rests are RAM 119's - they are really verstaile because they can be moved around... ![]() Yep, lots of cameras and HD cams - I have a HB 987 side imaging sonar mounted on the Trident too - big boys toys.... You've gotta love it ! |

I once worked with multi-beam sonar type device - combined with a bunch of other toys we could produce psuedo 3D images of the sea floor on the fly.
