YFT and wahoo from the kayak!
Had a great weekend to remember here in mainland Japan last weekend. First trips out in my new Hobie Outback, was time to set the 2003 Outback to the side. Wahoo are a rare catch in this area even by boat. Please enjoy the video and feel free to share.
Tackle description in the video description. |

Where about in Japan? Don't worry I won't steal your spot....just curious. It looks like your about 2 miles from land. Awesome!

Thanks guys. This is in Sagami Bay, not too far from Tokyo.
I've not lost a rod yet... but on the troll may end up leashing them. Not sure I trust the rod holders. Have yet to capsize, but never say never. |

Japan is truly loaded with fish. Envious! I don't think leashing your rods is a big deal. You'll be really glad you did when it saves you that $1000 set-up.

This is a very, very rare chance for this area. Maybe once in a lifetime, but we'll see. Mahi are plentiful, but the tuna are usually too far out, and only here for a couple months. Did pick some leashes up though just in case.... |

Ridiculously good! Stoked for you. You're catching dream fish for the majority of the population right there. I throw and troll rapala's frequently, so this post here is just motivating. That's a great looking bay to fish.
