CA coastal Commission Director
http://www.latimes.com/local/politic...209-story.html I don't know where he personally stood on the MLPAs, but I do know that the Coastal Commission has been critical to maintaining public access to beaches in areas like Malibu and Sea Ranch, and I am concerned that this effort to push him out will give more control to big developers to do whatever makes a buck with the coast, regardless of the impact on access for the rest of us.

Said officials appointed by Jerry Brown are pushing to have him removed. Sounds to me like he needs to be kept.
