Good advice

A friend once told to me "make sure and bring a knife" when on the water, and that sure came in handy this day. This particular fish was quite upset about being gaffed (who wouldn't?), after a 2 1/2 hour fight on 30# leader, though quickly pacified after cutting it's central nervous cord. Every moment of the fight was tough, and I'm always amazed by this fish.

That's right Fish 11, good eye! Yup, got towed out and hand paddled it all the way in. . . . got the blisters to prove it.

That is a beast of a catch/accomplishment on a kayak! What did it weigh?

That's one hell of a catch! Nice to haul on your rig too I bet, it'd be a long ride back with something like that and my Revo, probably have to drag it....?!

Wow! that must have been quite the fight on 30-pound test for two and a half hours especially know the line could break any second with a fish that big on the line
