Just passed the MPA line at La Jolla when I rolled up on it this morning

He was easily as long as my Outback, so yeah in the 12' range I'd say

would have been great if you would have dunked the cam though. under these conditions the shark was just curious. if he wanted you he would have leaped out of water with mouth gaping open slashing back and forth at your throat or face. I have seen some crazy mako's leaping out of water before at LJ. by the way, there is a good youtube video of a few kayakers not handling the catch properly and almost loosing life or limb. anyone still have this video?

seems too docile for a mako. video footage does not help decipher or make it definitive either.
