Slow Pitch Jig Set Up (Accurate, Goofish)
I've got this set up for your consideration: Reel: Accurate Tern 300x (purchased new in July '20, still under warranty until July '22) Line: Spooled with 30# Daiwa Jbraid X8 multi color (Approx 330yds) (purhcased with the reel) Rod: Goofish Green PE 2-4 100-250g Slow Pitch Rod with acid wrapped guides. (purchased new in September) Asking $450 for the combo, face to face transaction. Cash, Venmo, Paypal f&f. I am located in Rancho Cucamonga but I travel all over southern California for work and play. Everything is in great shape and works as if it were new. Selling because I want to use a red and silver seigler lever drag instead of the Tern star drag for this purpose, but the red and sliver looks bad on the green rod, so im replacing the entire set up so it matches (I am not an animal who would use a red reel on a green rod ) Thanks for looking, Ant

I was. I only got to use this exact combo once. I used it for bottom fishing it was a blast. I got some rock fish, some sculpin, and some sand bass on it, but then my wife had a baby so I haven't had a chance to go out since the end of September.
A few months before I got this outfit, I used a similar one to get a nice halibut, that's what sold me on the slow pitching set up. It's a super fun way to fish, and I'm not going away from it, just gonna swap some of the components to fit my style a little better. Tbh I would keep the rod if I didn't want to use a silver and red reel lol. I wasn't a big fan of the accurate tern, but that's probably because it's a star drag and I typically like a lever drag.

LMAO, the way i read this was that your wife had a baby, but not you. Its your child too right? Set up looks sweet, getting my rockfish combo all dialed in, just need a low-profile reel now. |
