Norway, seen from the sea. Not the worst place to own a kayak:)

Hello fellow padlers and anglers over at the other side of the big lake

Time for a new report from up north. Summer has finally reached Norway and the Malibu X-Factor have been tested and approved for norwegian waters.

Have fished everything from Ling and Garfish to Seatrout and Sprat, seen nature close up, and irritated a family of otters.

Have not installed the flushmounted rodholders yet, still looking for the right ones. And I am not completly sure where to mount them. I will also start flyfishing from the yak, so I need two more holders.

Finally bought a camera that can survive in the norwegian weather. So here are some of the houndres of pictures taken the last couple of months, with some comments.

Nice Seatrout

Think it called Tusk? Or Cusk

A Tusk/Cusk and a Ling

A Pollack

Another Pollack

Some scallops for my fathers sixty years birthday.

You need heavy tools for deep sea fishing

Me in my NRS Chinook PFD that got stolen from my car, toghether with my rod and reel.. Damn you who stole it!

Sometimes I use the stinkboat… This is Alden, nice mountain 481 meters. Nice hike.

Do not look down.

Nice view, a nice place to padle. The name of the islands that you see is Bulandet.

My new yak, will install rodholders soon.
Think the owner is russian.

Nice seatrout, caught from the yak.

Kinky is wondering what her dad does in the water.

My Stradic reel and Speedmaster rod that got stolen from my car…

Calm sea.

Evidence after a stinkboat..

Not the worst day in the yak..

It is meters, not feet..

Eaglenest

Seagull trying to steel my fish.

Incoming!

Perfect place for seatroutfishing, right outside our summercabin.

Early Sunday morning… Became a bit angry.

Time for a renovation?

Early morning in the secret place.

Looking for rings on the water

Only possible to get in here on low tide and with kayak or cano. Not many knows about this place.

This is how the seabed looks like.

Parked the yak and went for a stroll up the river.

The secret river

Nice place?

The Otter is hiding, first time I saw it

http://www.youfish.no/video/293/Otere-i-lek
Second time, and this time with his or hers better half

A nice Seatrout

Selfportrait in the woods

Trying to get my new fatherinlaw to buy a yak.

Got her interested in fishing, next is yakking

Collection of watercrafts.

Low tide, impossible to padle over to the secret spot.

Padling under the threes.

http://www.youfish.no/video/294/Brisling
Sprats

HQ for the vacation

Small but still a seatrout. I went back in the water.

Sprat on lure.

Yesterday in Matre.

Morten flyfishes.

Morten in his Native.

Time to eat.

My dreamwagon.

Trolling .

On our way back.

Nice?

Boathouse in Matre

My Hometown, Bergen.

Some of the pictures are captured with my cellphone, and some with my new Olympus camera.
Hope you liked them.

Aleksander

Fantastic post. Those pics are great. Sorry about your gear being stolen.
Thanks for sharing Aleksander, enjoy your summer.

Nice pictures. It doesn't matter if catch anything, because the scenery itself is worth being their.

Great report, excellent pictures. Sorry about your rod and reels getting stolen, but that is what happens when you live in a country that does not allow its citizens to own guns. JUST KIDDING!

Truly beautiful and inspiring scenery. Thanks so much for bringing those images to us. Few of us will get the chance to be there in person, but we are inspired by your love of the country and it's natural assets. Let's go fishing!
