Will there be any surfing opportunities on the 7 day trip? Jason was trying to do a 7 day fish/surf trip last year and we couldn't get enough people, I was bummed.

If anyone is on the fence about doing a trip on the Islander just do it. Great boat, great crew, and a boatload of like-minded kayak fishing people.

no 2.5 day trips? bummer, love those. you can target one thing one day and have another day to change up. 1.5's are awesome too but you almost gotta be single-minded. oh well, i'll book at least one or two. june trips fit my schedule perfectly!!

the turnaround islands trip sounds pretty cool. gets me to thinking...

for those that haven't been on one yet, DO IT!!! the boat and crew are amazing. they do it right. it's not a boat that says "hey, throw a few kayaks on", but the whole thing, top to bottom, is catered to us. they know exactly how to get the yaks in the water, how to get everything rolling, and exactly where to put us. I've done three so far, each one is better than the last.

Rob I was bummed on the lack of 2.5 day too as those are my favorite but just think about what you could do on a 7 day

Just spoke with Shane from the Islander and told him some of us were disappointed by the lack of 2.5 day trips.

He told me that if there is interest we can always change any of the 1.5 day into a 2.5 day (with the exception of the one where we are running the Coronados trip).

Anybody have any input on this one? If we changed a trip to a 2.5 day would you sign up for it?

The 2.5 day format is a much more relaxed trip as you dont feel you need to be on the water every second of the trip to make it worth it.

I'd be interested, depending on date.

as for the 7 day, you can discuss that one with my wife. one day you'll learn about that :bigg rinjester:

give yourself a few years though

2.5 day in June. would be perfect. if he made both june trips 2.5 days, I might just do them both!!

Where's the destination(s) for a 2.5 day trip? Targeting what and where?
