Definitely need to always use that lanyard you added. I lost my first gopro in the surf when I thought it was secure and that was an expensive lesson. Searched for an hour and a half with mask and snorkel with no luck. Crazy how fast they can disappear. PVC with the handlebar mount is the way to go as seen by everyone else. You should also buy the anti fog inserts which can sometimes make a huge difference. Its horrible when you think you just got some great footage just to get home and find that it is all fogged up.

Once you get the PVC mounted to the yak - you need one of these http://www.amazon.com/Steadicam-Smoo...teadicam+gopro for stable shots
