Need help with a better seat

My WS Tarpon seat is killing me. I put a pad under the stock pad but that didn't help. Anybody have any suggestions for something more comfortable? My boat is the older style with the folding back rest and the seat is molded in the bottom with the thin pad.

I use an air pad for the seat--it works well for me though some say that the air tends to move where you don't need it. I have heard others swear by the gel pad. Of course you can just upgrade to a better seat like those sold here: http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/...sts/Categories

I use a Skwoosh angler II gel pad. It floats and comes with a tether, in case you flip. Trust me, I've tried it in LJ surf. I would recommend it to anyone. No more kayak butt for me.

i've had good luck with the one i purchased at bluewater bait and tackle in solana beach- not sure if they still carry them. they have and adhesive bottom that i bolstered with some silicone around the dges... maybe that's what you have going now.

GTS Pro Kayak Seat

Just got this one for my wife for her birthday from Rik at OEX Kerny Mesa. It is killer, looks like a small couch the foam is so thick. She says last weekend was the most comfortable she has been on a yak and that it also had amazing back support.

Ditto on that purchase from Rik at OEK. My GTS Pro has been a back saver!

First thing I did was take those old Tarpon seat contraption thingy's off. It's pretty east to do - they bolt on under the deck you can get to it with a wrench from the hatches. Almost any seat you slap on there is going to be an improvement. Not sure why WS still makes those things. The rest of the yak is so perfect.

I recently got the GTS pro....sweet seat, except when you sit in it for 6 hours....but it's better than my last seat, that's for sure....
