his 1st winter... 2-22

didn't go so good.... launched @ 5:45 into some strong wind and chop..forgot my 7 rod stamp so I had to make do with 1 took damn near an hour to get to the zone ...saw a few yaks where I wanted to fish so I stayed a little shallower.. once they drifted off I went to the same spot me n sam got our fish last month..hooked up around 8:30..thought about letting him go when I saw how small it was, but he put up such a pathetic fight he had to die..maybe 1.5minutes..probably went 15-17# (didn't weigh it) but not ur typical winter @ lj..thanks for the on the water shot D..

any yellowtail is a good yellowtail, as long as it's not the last yellowtail
looks like your effort paid off.
