Great idea, just hope that it doesnt cut off, personally I wouldnt count on duct type. There must be a way to mount it using some sort of clamps, straps, or even screws, hope it works for you, thx for sharing.

it has an attachment device under the duct tape (curved surface adhesive mount) that comes with the GoPro and looks really secure .....so the attachment device and the duct tape would have to fail but with my luck...well, maybe I'll add a leash of some sort

There are a few different grades of Duct Tape.
The Heavy Duty - All Weather is made on a waterproof backing. (Orange Color Label) Its Good insurance. http://www.3m.com/brands/scotch/toug...Tape_duct-tape

How about some quality hose clamps, or stainless steel safety wire?
