Paddy yellows still about

I've been fishing inshore mostly but there is still some offshore action to be had. Fished LA habor last night with plastics from 7 til 11 for very little action. I caught 6 smallish bass and my buddies caught a couple too. We fished hard though. Anyways, a little report in addition to my latest videos.

Often times I think about how nuts we really are. I watch my vids and it brings back memories of all the dumb and incredible things I've done

I think I just spent a half hour on your utube videos.

I wish I had the balls to venture down below.

These are nice but the Hali hunting ones are still my favorite.

Thanks. I have another halibut compilation in the works. Tons of untouched Hali stuff but mostly small. After the mlpas a lot of my halibut spots were lost and the few that were left get pounded so hard I have a little more trouble getting them this season. I POUND SAND when I hunt them too. Hopefully I'll have something actually worth posting sometime this winter.

Went to the 1010 and hidden bank.last week to hit tuna. We got limits and headed in around 1. We stopped at every paddy along the way and 75% were loaded with rats. It was my first time diving kelp paddies and by far the coolest thing I've ever done. We were so loaded with fish already I didn't even pull the trigger, I just enjoyed the company of 15,000+ yellow tail babies and their protective parents. It was definitely one of those things you say "wow, my life is fucking awesome."

You get it! It has been a bit frustrating taking people on my boat this year that wanted to shoot every fish on a paddy they see. When you don't act aggressively the fish flock to you rather than seeing you as a threat. Hard to describe how awesome so videos will have to do.

Nice vids. Gotta make a run to Clemente for some epic Halibut slaying.

Thanks Greg. I've been out there diving only 3 times and wasn't in the right areas to get them shallow. I did scrounge up a 30 inches where we were anchored for the night. I want to shoot some of the monsters Clemente is know for some day. When I do I will hopefully have my camera in hand also I will hopefully remain a calm as you do in all your vids!!

Check out those preseason Islander mothership trips. Almost all the divers I saw came back with 20#+. The deck hand killed em one day with like 4 to 28# in a couple hours.

They have to be in. I'll keep that trip in mind though as I enjoy a good solitary kayak, dive combo.
