Shimano

It's time that my reels go in for a cleaning and to upgrde the drags on my toriums. I called Shimano, and they said that it will take 10 weeks if I send them in
The guy that I spoke to on the phone told me that a different crew takes care of the walk in's, so the return time would be 10 days if I were to drop them off at the factory. I would do them myself but while I was taking one of the reels apart last night, the clicker pin shot out and is somewhere in my apartment
My question is, does anyone plan to have thier reels serviced by shimano, and if you plan to drop them off, would you mind taking my reels in for me. If I end up driving up there myself, I would drop your reels for you. Another scenerio would be for one of us to drop off, and one to pick up. The main reason I prefer to send them to Shimano is that the upgrade would be free.

I might be willing to head up there to get some of my TLDs serviced. It would be early next week before I could get there. Send me a PM on Thursday or Friday and I'll let you know if I can work it out.

Thanks to all who referred the local to do the maintenance. I just got off the phone with Shimano, and they are going to ship out my upgrade kits to me. If I can't do the work myself, I will take them to Glenn.
