Thumbs down my ass!

You were two short of a limit.

Go to work, tell them you have the shits and sleep in one of the stalls.

Dude 5 is a very good night. I could not resist the temptation of OPENING NIGHT. stayed in newport. Out of the dozen or so boats and handful of divers out there I saw 2 legal bugs pulled from the water. I didnt pull one bug. Not even a short. The divers I spoke to said the bugs were tight in the crevices and not in the sand at all. Did catch a buzz though.

Josh man...just remember back toward the end of every bug season when things peter out to wet cold and zips. 5 keeps is nothing to stick your nose up at...good job! Go to that same spot tonight and get the traps in just before dusk...That's a limit spot for sure. Jim

Sounds like a great night getting 2 short of a limit, in a mere 5 hours.

If it's slow when we go, which it typically is, we'll spend 8+ hours OTW, and if we get 4 between the two of us, with 10 nets in the water, it's a fair/average night. We won't complain, it beats going home empty handed.

I could see their glowing eyes when I would go by the rocks so I just dropped near structure because I knew they were there.
