Newport 4/15 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I went out NP yesterday 4/15 and found bait barge was inside harbor but not very far from Coast Guard Station

I talk to the guy and he said channel of harbor mouth is too sallow so they had to move there and when condition is better, bait barge will back to the harbor mouth ,well look like they gonna be there for a while

And kayak scoop is 20$ now
I fished nearby barge but no bite and move to the harbor mouth which bait barge use to be but only small bass

I fished 7-1pm I only caught 4 bass one legal

Usually fishing nearby bait barge at harbor mouth was exciting, lot of fish stop by from outside of harbor because of scene of bait
Well I wish they back to the harbor mouth soon

Thanks for report. Weather has just been plain stupid so far in 2021 so have not bothered with yak. Even took boat out to test acouple things and just snotty out there. $20 a kayak scoop seems right since everything else has been jacked up. If Bryce was there he normally hooks me up for $10 scoop but If rules changed Im sure he will give you a scoop in am and second scoop later in the the day.
