Finally got my first YT on a kayak!

Put my time in and finally got some results. Did not have a problem making bait in the morning. Got some nice green backs and a ton of Spanish, most of them on a smaller side. Trolled around anywhere from 60 to 150 feet. After about 2 hrs I decided it was time to switch bait and put on a fresh greenback. Not even 5 min later the bait makes short run (had it on clicker with very little drag). I turned around and saw the biggest blow up. I thought it was a shark or a seal at first but after first set of head shakes I knew what was going on. My drag was set pretty loose as I really did not want to loose my first YT but after a while I tightened it just a hair. Got him to color shortly after. Then I was struggling witch actual gaffing the fish for a few minutes but I managed to bring him in. If someone from here was there yesterday and heard what sounds like screaming of 12 year old girls on Backstreet Boys concert - that was me!

Congratulations on your first kayak Yellowtail. Good work putting in the time on the water, it makes it more rewarding. As said above, like sex you'll never forget your first!
