Sigh.... so now... I'm a jackass. Wow. I've racked up four new derogatory names in one thread. Over a Hoopin' story. Over me defending my actions against ignorant comments.

Nice.

I used to have a spring suit that I would wear but mine got destroyed by my dog so I need to get another. Stays cool under loose clothing and regulates core body temp.

Here you only need a bag of popcorn, sometimes two but on BD you'll need Orville Redenbacher

WTF !!

What happened to ckjdad?

Can I change my user name? I'm tired of people trying to pronounce my user name as if It's actually a word. You should listen to some of the guys, some sound like they're drunk or high or drunk and high. It's quite funny but It's one of those 'you had to be there' deeleeoo's.

I think the original post should be a sticky......"What Not To Do"

What a blatant attempt to establish internet machismo!!

Assuming from your previous name that you have children?
The decision to paddle in those conditions is totally idiotic!!!

There's a fine line between adventure and stupidity

Big T, you've been around long enough to know the deal, right? Self deprecating humor, maybe receiving a kick if deserved or not..! I can help you fix this right up. Just tell me how to change my screen name buddy. I'll take care of these sum bitches no prob Except Roby...I can't help you with that no good, sneaky, sticking dead trout in one's kayak hatch, wetting down other's sleeping bags, good for just about nothing Numba one a-hole. Okay, okay, maybe he pulled my ass out of the water in the dark of night..and maybe i was tangled up in a little bit of braid but so what, the water wasn't very cold. You know I turned in my Team Roby membership application months ago and haven't heard a damn thing? Sum bitch crab caca eating bottom feeder Screen name change deal, Big T...pass it on brotha. Jim

Going out in a storm, SCARY!!!

Most of us have families that would like us to be safe out on the water. It is because they do not want to see our kids bury us.

We are a small kayak community, so someone always knows somebody that got injured or hurt in some way.

Stay Safe, and know your limit is the best advice I can give to you all.

Most of us here are not experienced to capsizing in huge storm swells, so we fear the thought of what you described.

Have fun.

P.S.

When I read your story I Imagined this:

In conditions like this:
