Catch and Cook at Cachuma Lake

Hit Cachuma lake for some trout trolling and was not disappointed. Landed 12 fish and lost countless others. All 2-4 pound fish. Gotta find the 10 pounders they stock...

Yeah Usually 3-4 stockings per winter...
Limit is the standard 5, regular dfw rules apply, they are not stocked by the dfw except for one stocking in April, the rest are a private stocking from mt.lassen fish hatchery. Hence the larger fish with red meat.

Nice Vid, used to camp that lake for many years till it dried up. Never had luck fishing back in the day but too bad its too far to fish for a day.

Very cool idea, tethering a mouse tail to your crank bait. Better idea than just weighting the salmon egg/worm tail.

Nice stringer. Great video, especially the clean, cook and feed your son part.

Cute kid. It's terrific that he eats fish at such a young age.
