Pa 12 Seat into a PA 14

Heard Hobie may be coming up with a bracket to put a PA 12 seat into a PA 14 or redesigning a new seat for the PA 14. Anybody? bosco

Think the 2013 pa14 already have the vintage seat. If you want to do conversion on the older models might be far fetched cause the seat by itself is 700bucks

$700? !I don't see the big deal with those seats, they aren't that comfortable.

This topic was heavily discussed on the Hobie Forums - conclusion was that if you have the older PA design, refitting the new seat is near impossible without cutting up the deck and rewelding pieces in.

I do agree that the price of that seat is a rip off, but disagree on the comfort. Hopefully you guys never have to deal with a bad lower back, I can stay on the water as long as I want with the Vantage seat, where before 3-4 hours was all I could handle.

I've done 12 hours in the old seat. No biggie.
