I use pipe insulation

I use the same method Home Depot pipe insulation (nice and clear) and use duck tape or zip ties. I dropped my rod and reel in the water twice already and it was floating next to my kayak. I put it in all my rods for kayaking and fishing off my sea doo. One less thing to worry about and no more rod leashes tangled.
