Old tuber new yaker

Thought I would say hello. I am new to yaks but not to bay fishing and the salt. Hard core float tuber looking to cover more real estate with a little help. Just got my first yak off CL . Malibu Xtreme came with a cart paddle and a seat. I just met a guy on the Hobie pro staff and he gave me some freebees to get me set up. I would like to fish with anyone in the Long Beach area. And beyond for that matter. Maybe you can help me get the hang of it. I feel pretty comfortable already but I have been advised I should take a buddy. I want to fish Cherry Beach and Grissom and some of the other islands. Then maybe work my way out to break wall when I am ready.

I'm good on the gear and very safety minded. Anyway, just saying howdy and hope to fish with someone soon.

what's up wax! see ya otw some time. more than likely we're always in a group of people. I think it would be risky leaving the bay by yourself... "you're" " "safety minded so we need not to preach to you about much in that regards. GL and hope to pull some line with ya later.

Waxon what's going on. I just got a yak a few weeks ago as well. Planning on fishing the break wall in two or three weeks so maybe we can hit it up together.

Haven't taken the kayak out to the wall but have fished off of a small aluminum boat that's the same length as my kayak. Lol. I know some good spots though.
