OEX Sunset. Light in assistance.

Went by there today to take a look but if I wasn't going to rent a yak or SUP, the guy at the shop was NO help. Demo day. He knew we were looking at fishing kayaks, but didn't offer any help or let us know about the Demo. Crap. Would've been good but don't think I'll go back there again. UP in Belmont much better customer service.

Busy day here. I had to send out my son to do a SUP class as I was caught last minute short an instructor. I had my wife behind the counter for a bit, I had to run and grab a PA 12 from storage as it was sold today.....did over 200 rentals. Sorry if somehow you did not get the service you came in for.

Iceman,

It was great checking out both the PA12 and the PA14 side by side. My son and I even changed boats on the water in order to truly test the stability and get a real-time comparison of both configurations. Thanks for putting on the Demo day. I'm glad we came in early because OEX Sunset is a really popular place on Saturday mornings! Thanks for taking the time to talk to us about the specifics of both kayaks. Great customer service in my book.

Thanks for going to your storage unit then picking up the PA 12 even though you were so busy so that I could be on the water fishing tomorrow

I've rented different types of kayaks and bought stuff from Andy several times in the past three years. In my experienced opinion, OEX is THE most friendliest, most knowledgeable place for Kayaks and gear in the entire OC and LA area.

They have the most competitive prices, and are friendly to us Yak Anglers.
Most other places treat you like a statistic and try to up-sell you. Andy is genuine and his crew is top-notch.

The fact that they were swamped when you came in means that people trust this outfit with their dollars and business. In such cases, you should have the sense to wait for things to clear up, or come back at another time. You are entitled to good service as a prospective customer, but there is also something to be said about being a REASONABLE, COURTEOUS, and PATIENT client. It works both ways you know .
