2/23/11 LJ trip

Went solo to LJ, with the goals being 1)make macks for bug bait and 2)catch a halibut. Accomplished the first goal but had to settle for a half dozen of the halibut's cousin, the sand-dab, good for one dinner. A beautiful day out, especially for winter time. I was even able to fish in shorts the whole day.

A wider view of how beautiful it was out there

Looking North on this beautiful day

All hell breaks loose, as dolphins, seals and birds ravage a school of mackeral

Very crisp and fresh pictures. Current must of been strong... kelp looks to be laid down under. Thank you very much for the report.

Actually, there was just a slight downhill current. The reason you don't see kelp is, I was fishing just north of the reserve.
