what sticks to kayaks?

will a polyester fiberglass stick to the plastic most kayaks are made of?
If not ,any suggestions, I'm building a permanent lock boxl for my keys etc.

NOT trying to make a patch!

Have you tried Marine Goop? I use this stuff alot on my Kayak

You could probably find a Pelican type case that has a spot for a padlock. You could bolt or rivet it down and use some goop for a good seal.

3M 5200 (especially slow cure) and also West Systems G-Flex do pretty good.

Not much

Marine goop is ok temp sealer but will come off at some point.
5200 n g flex epoxy will work well if rough up surface.
Nvr heard of ne one trying to glass onto yak.

I would recommend fasteners rather than adhesive for you purposes
Some a hole wud b tempted to pry open adhered lock box ruining ur gear

I'll tell you what sticks to my kayak. Seagull crap and Squid ink. Gotta just about take the belt sander to those two. Anybody tried plastic weld?
