How does it look down there, guys......thinking of driving down from Venice Tues. am as the swell drops. Is the launch site open?
Thanks for any info.

Launch is fine, just no fishies around. Hopefully something will turn on but it has been dead all week.

Lots of good-sized greenbacks at the spot. Put a 12" one down on the bottom and it got crushed, but no hookup. Maybe a BSB. Fished the reef just northwest of the hotel for one rockfish and one calico. Not much excitement, but the sun came out, the wind stayed down, and there aren't too many places in this country where's it's this nice out at this time of year, so a pretty fine day!

Great morning, just no fish... My new ride T-160i is smooth, and has plenty of glide. Just got to get used to landing a longer boat in the surf. Saw a nice halibut as I was walking my yak in, shuffled my feet, and it took off. Hope to get out Saturday morning, but the weatherman is calling for rain. Good seeing y'all.

It was good seeing everyone. Kurt, I thought that was you we were talking to. My eyes are getting bad, sorry.
Chris, sweet new ride. Was today the maiden voyage for your 160? Looks fast, bro.
Oh, I didn't get the skinny on Dave's hookup... BSB?
Where are the fish?- Dennis

Today LJ,

Easy launch and landing today for me-Early break-off on probable BSB.
It slammed my deadstick-glow green and white iron--
Major tow past PBers' who did a good job of clearing lines allowing me to play through-three firbags were all over me so I buttened it down to try to haul it up and it broke off-
After that I headed to Blacks and fished for nada except one deep calico. I released ot only to see another firbag grab it. Beautiful unfishy day.
When I was at Blacks a pod of dolphins stayed right in the surfline and
didn't seem to mind me hanging around them-
Later-
Dave
