Can anyone comment on the preferred route through TJ to Ensenada since the toll road land slide? Assuming entry at San Ysidro is it best to take the old Highway 1 or take the toll road part way and cut over to the old Highway before the landslide?

We all need this information soon. Asuncion is coming up fast, less than a month away. Time for everyone going on this trip to RECONFIRM please. And I would like to know who will be in the caravan, with me and Buddha?

There is a detour around the Ensenada area, so no worries. I did a trip with a buddy the first week of Oct and the roads were already drive able all the way to Asuncion. We only spent one night there due to huge surf, but here are a few pics from fishing off a small cliff right in town.

As if you guys need anything to get you pumped up for the trip

I you want to come down south a bit to the Esteros, I can put you on some juvenile broom tail grouper and big corvina in the Esteros. I will pm Makobob my contact info. I may even see you guys this weekend in Asuncion! Have a great trip!

Tim

Did I miss a meeting? I thought you guys were leaving the day after Thanksgiving. We are leaving the day before Thanksgiving also but had planned on meeting up with you folks on the evening of the 28th. I am going to have to recalibrate.

Hi Makobob,

I was wondering if there's room for me to join Bahia Asuncion in Nov? I don't mind sleeping in a tent either.

Robert

Jeff, Sven, Dave, Ross, WHAT do you guys think? Room for one more tent?

Ok Cowboys on the 26th. Has anyone heard from Papa Dave?

He wanted to get in on the Gonzaga trip last year at the last minute and then cancelled. He was lax in the communication department. It remains to be seen if he will confirm. I don't think there is room for 6 people in the house. 4 is actually crowded.

If he wants to come we need a definite confirmation and he can sleep in a tent.

Actually I don't care either way. People that want to get in on these trips and do them on their own time frame with a last minute's notice and then cancel I have no respect for.

Sorry but this trip has been talked about for months.

Papa Dave is out. That gives us Bob, Jeff, Ross, and son in the house. Sven and possibly Space nut outside.

Electronics

For those that need to charge their electronics, you need to bring your own power strip. We always seem to run out of outlets to plug everyone into.
I will be bring my generator. Plenty of power not enough outlets
