Talking WTF?

"Why the face?" is not what I got from the picture and the letters "WTF?" I took it to mean what came out your mouth as you got soaked. WTF?

Hahaha! You have a knack for timing the photos. That was my dumb luck fish.

My acronym for the day is KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Met up with Andy yesterday at San Ono. Was on a beach vacation with the family, so I packed light...super light. Borrowed a Mini-X from Andy just in case I could find some time to sneak out and fish. Forgot my real rods, so i only had my 6-12 lb rated surf fishing spinning rod, a few leadheads, and a pack of gulp grubs.

Somehow ended up dumb-luck blind-casting into a decent halibut, and by even more dumb-luck, somehow landed it.

Andy had his good camera OTW and snapped some killer pics, and then he got a bath by the fish when I had him come over to borrow his gaff to use as a club.

This thanksgiving I'm thankful for a lot, but mostly for Halibut...and for dumb luck

Might have been dumb luck that it bit, but it was a skillful fisherman who got it in.
