How should I set up my reel for YT and others off LJ? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

New here, used to fish quite often but I deployed away from San Diego for a few years and didn't get back into it when I came home.

I have a Penn SQL30 that I can load up, what's the most common line strength being used these days for Yellows and other bigger fish?

This bigger reel will compliment my spinning rods which are loaded with 20lb braided to a mono leader.
