La Jolla Rockfish 12-31-12

Didn't have too many plans New Years Eve, so I snuck in a last min trip to LJ. Went there hoping for YT, but never saw them come through. Yoyo'd til my arm was going to fall off, then gave up and headed out for some rockfish at 11. Made a quick limit in an hour. 5 Barberpole, 1 Red, 2 Starry, and 2 freakishly big Chuckleheads.

Beautiful day out there. Very little swell or wind, lots of whales and porpoise out, and a limit of one of the ocean's tastiest fish. Good way to wrap up the year.
