Scoot you are 100% correct. I must have gotten in a hurry to get my post out that I did not pay attention. Thanks for the correction as my mistake makes me seem like an amateur. Of course that maybe true and I am just really lucky.

Those are nice looking spotties. What class of line were you fishing? They would be a total hoot on light gear, but I don't really know anybody who fishes less than 20# tackle in the bay, including myself lol.

I use light spinning tackle in the bay when fishing jigs. It's fun until a seadog decides to start chasing your catch. It's really fun when catching macks for bait with a small rapala or light spoon and occasionally a bass will grab the lure for a good fight.

FullFlavorPike I use 4lb on a spin reel when I use my perch grub and it is a blast when a keeper hits and runs. Got to set your drag right the and work the fish.
