Very cool story!! And superb catch!

It's situations like this that should be on the news headlines, not all that dismal, negative, and depressing crap I'm forced to read/listen to....

Rob and Kevin, you guy's have restored my faith in humanity

By far the best thing I've read on BWE. You showed an amazingly noble act of kindness and it paid off. You'll have nothing but good ju-ju from now on.

To both of you on your pay it forwards. In this day and age, it is hard to get even an acknowledgement from most of the public, let alone any amount of their "valuable" time or effort.

Awwwwesome read! Man that day brought back terrifying memories of my truck sitting in sinking sand. I was on the phone with AAA when Rob came over! Unbelievable how lucky I am. It clearly was a sign. You were destined for that fish! There is no mistaking it. Congrats Rob, you can pull me out of the sand anytime!

We can all make the world a better place to kayak in, one fish at a time!

Note to self: When business is slow---get my truck stuck in the sand in front of the web-cam. Got it.

Nice job on the yellowtail.

This sounds like a good time to post up some (Beach Survival Gear)

-This is a down and dirty piece of equipment that you can make out in the garage in 15 minutes. It will save your 30K truck from being consumed by mother ocean.

Hacksaw + Milk Crate + Rope

Tie the rope loosely so you can fold it up for storage.

Awesome Story

Good Karma=Hamachi....
Great write-up and great fortune that the guy stuck was The Kid. Usually you hear that no good deed goes unpunished, I love the fact that the only punishment you received was a solid burn from pulling on a larger model YT!

Billy,

Pure Genius! Not only is your improvised sand-rail collapsible and light-weight, it is cheap too!

Post script...This may be the first milk crate I have seen on BWE that did not have rod-holders and a ton of other sh!t zip tied to it.

I keep hearing about the same guides but who's better?

I mean whos gonna catch me a big one?

And who charges more?
Well, since you asked......

They both satisfy, let me tell you. I have been with both of them, and seen both of them without their waders on, but do not let that turn you off. I am a DDF fisherman who has pulled on my fair share of tail.
I guess that it really comes down to personal preference.
The Kid is more affordable and not nearly as worn in, but JP is experienced and has a scathing tongue if you do not do exactly what he says, a real bonus for some.
The Kid has an olive complexion and a youthful vibrance, JP prefers collared shirts and plenty of creamy white sunscreen slathered on his face.
Personal preference aside, either guide will give you something big to pull on, more than you could hope for.

Tight lines and bent rods gentle wanderer.

On a serious note, whoever created this is absolutely brilliant. Well done.
