La jolla today for a rather slow day day of catching. Seemed to be tons of bait all over the water. Most all my rockfish I caught were either stuffed with krill or shrimp, which is why it was slow is my guess. Monster macs swimmig around too. Managed a couple sculpin, one sheapshead (first ever sheepshead) and 3 misc rockfish. O e white fish fell off when pulling out of the water. Sorry now pics I forgot

The weather was absolutely perfect toda, good day to be on the water. Makes it nice on slow days. Congrats on first sheep head. Any size to it?

My wife just oil poached some sheephead recently. Topped it with some cherry tomatoes/balsamic vinegar sauce and it was amazing. I'll ask her for the recipe and post it tomorrow.

Finally a break in the weather, looks like we should be on a good trend for the next few days.

At least you got something to show for. I didn't see you out there. I managed a few sculpin, misc rockfish, but yes, the fishing was slow I think cuz all the bait in the water.
