Urgent: Shimano Spheros owners

Spheros 5000 SW good for Calicos in the kelp?

Ordering one for my wife tonight and I'd like to hear some feedback on people who've used this reel in a kayak. Alan hawk made a good review and pretty much made up my mind on buying it. Love to hear some feedback from people who've used this reel.

Thanks in advance

I'd get a 3 or 4000. You really don't need the extra weight and I've caught striped bass up to 30 pounds on my 4000.

I was looking more for a reel that can handle the saltwater a little more. Alan Hawks review made me think that this is a great reel for the salt. Our kayaks have a lower profile and our gear and reels get soaked
