SD Big Bay Sunset 6/15/2020 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Fished under the boats in Americas Cup Harbor last night around sunset, but no love from the bass. Usually the 3" halloween big hammer on the underspin gets bit, but yesterday. No action on a 5" christmas tree, either.

It is so weird paddling around the anchorage. Some of the boats have people full-on living aboard, while others appear totally abandoned with gulls nesting on the deck and gnarly levels of barnacles on the hulls. I know the moorings aren't free, so presumably people keep paying the bills, but it seems crazy to me that there are all these boats that don't appear to have moved in years. Whatever the reason, it seems nutty to pay $150/mo just to let your boat rot away.
