7/13 Dana Point

Today was my second time out. So I grabbed package of frozen squid and a scoop of chovies. Headed out to a spot my buddy showed me a couple weeks ago then BAMM! 40 some min later caught my first fish off of a kayak. 78" thresher, it was a awesome hook. Not gonna lie there was a couple times I thought what in the hell am I doing. Peddled back in giving all the bait away. Truly a great day for me with shark steaks in the freezer.

Great job......

You can't start out by catching big fish like this......what do you do now? Fish for 12 inch spotted bay bass?

Congrats on a great day.

Thanks for the blackened idea. I usually rub some lemon pepper toss her on the grill a few min per side and dig in.

So nice! Good Job!

I've been fishing around Dana Point for months and only caught some calico, and other small fishes. Could I tag along with you? haha
