Newport 10/10

Got out of the harbor before 6:30. Fished beyond the buoy, picked up a bonito on a Kroc. Just hung out at the harbor mouth thereafter. No current meant no drift and it was like fishing in a lake. The upside was an easy ingrees.

This bird was chasing my kroc, diving downwards by about 10 feet. Even pecked at it when I lifted it out of the water. Hung around for nearly 5 minutes trying to get the kroc.

Man I should've just gone to Newport for bones. My buddy and I found a school at DPH, but the bite never hit full speed. Plus, fishing them after primetime didn't help. Birds are crazy. At least it wasn't a seal that followed you around.
