11/18 LJ 3 Bs and a sea minus

....minus any yellowtail.....and I thought putting Mamma in the spotter plane was going to be the bomb.

Sloppy hightide launch, waited and made it out dry. Fog came in around first light and lingered until about 8:30. Hung out just after the first cluster of buoys to wait it out. First hour was a-fish-a-cast with the heavy yoyo. A few tags on the sink and alot of multiple on, then off barely cudas. 2# boneys, a calico and sandbass. Nothing pulled drag. Moved SW, about a boney every 10th cast. Solid 1-2 foot surf, picked the right one and landed dry. Had to watch some tourist wipeouts before heading to work.

Nice pics Andy, I saw you from just off the Bridge club. I was diving today, I recognized your camo boat near the kelp. Vis was bad 2-3 ft, really stirred up...

No Brian, I don't throw the heavy iron on the 9 footer  Pat Holmes style yoyo fishing.

Chris, I took pics of my sandie and bonito for the ironman contest and am bumping you out of 2nd  I was not sure if I had either, I remember trying to get a bonita pic over the Summer and they would always shake off while I was trying to get a pic.

Great action shots Andy. I have to work Monday or I'd be in for a Big Rock launch.

You should have an easy launch in the AM, only ankle slappers in the little channel at Big Rock. Easier launch than Shores as far as waves go.....
There is a 6 foot vertical drop off the rocks below Winamar walkway, but, lots of sand on the beach.

I love the wipeout shots. I would really like to see some baja surf and rental kayaks together. I could watch that for hours.
