Diamond Valley Lake only allows sit-inside kayaks.

Wasn't sure because the wording on their website is ambiguous at best. Thanks for the reply YakMedic!

I don't even think PA's are allowed, even though they are kinda..sit inside...I guess since it's tapwater/drinking water they don't want anybody taking a leak on their kayak. What's funny is....I'm sure those boaters are jammin back to shore to take a leak everytime..!

Yeah, it makes no sense, but not alot we can do about it. Was hoping to go slay some stripers, but I guess that is not in the cards.

No problem, I've been wanting to fish that lake from a kayak for quite a while now. I even almost bought a sit in kayak just for DVL. You can always rent a boat if you really want to get at the lunker stripers.

Matt, how's the striper bite at the wood?

PoxyB, the next best thing is perhaps Castaic. But that is a far far drive. I use to trek out there all the time last year. I've witness the striper boils and they are insane.

Yeah, Castaic or Pyramid, but those are both a longer drive then DVL.

Never tried the Wood, but I haven't heard much good about it. That is another option for the Jailbirds.

Nothing with self bailing scuppers is legal. Native watercraft makes a legal peddle drive that can be fished at DVL but Hobies are not legal.
