La jolla 7/4/15

Headed out of LJ around 6:30 today and had terrible luck. The waves were pretty small but we're coming in one right after another. On the way out I ended up losing my brand new gaff (bought last night)
I seen it floating but I knew if I would have tried to turn I would have flipped and lost a lot more than just a gaff.
As for the fishing?
My bait tank didn't work, my fish finder attachment broke and I couldn't catch a fish to save my life. Seen plenty of people hooking up while I was out.
Side note: I seen a puffer fish floating around blown up while I was on my way in. I had no clue we had them around here.

If you pick up my gaff and feeling generous enough to give it back, it would be greatly appreciated.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it

That looks like the new "fillet gaff." Fillets the yellowtail when coming overboard.

That looks like something the Reaper would carry.

Bought it at Dana landing in mission bay. Unfortunately I'll never know how practical it is... Or isn't.
