Great setup. Ful Rac put me on game and I've been using them ever since. Love mine. Hope u find what you're looking for! Have 2 and haven't looked back. A bit pricey, but well worth it!

Scotty reps have said, they're coming out with a newer version of the ORCA holder. supposedly, you'll be able to use only 1 hand now...i believe it hsould be coming out either soon, or early april.

at their booth at the FH show, i specifically asked about those rod holders. he said they've redesigned it to make it easier to take out? but not too easy that it just rips out. i'll have to go look at the catalog he gave me...

question for ya, does the rod trigger ever get in the way?

Were they selling these at the FHS in LB? If so, I'm hoping they would have them at Del Mar this weekend. I don't like the rubber strap on my current Scotty and only use the mount when re-tying or heading in. The Orca seems very trustworthy to troll with and quicker to release after a strike.
