And it begins!!

I had Duty on this ship for Christmas so we had to celebrate the day before and after. One of my buddys got my lil one her first fishing pole. She says its to big for her and probably is....

So at what age did you you all start your little one fishing?
and kayaking?

For now she is training with her Magnet fishing kit lol

3yrs old

Putting a sibiki on is the easiest for the little ones IMO.

Haven't started him kayaking yet.

When my children started out I used a cut down Sabiki rig with a 1/2oz weight on the pier and would tip the hooks with a small amount of squid.

To bring in the fish I would take a can of $1 mackerel from the supermarket freeze it and put it in an old sock lowered down on a rope to chum up the area. In five minutes it would be loaded with jacksmelt.
