Paying the Iron Price

Salas 6X Jr (Scrambled Egg) to be exact.

WOOT! My first La Jolla Yellowtail; probably my 10th trip out there in the past couple of years. Taped at 44" (41" fork) and 22" girth. Anyone know the right formula? I'm guessing 25# easy but would be nice to have a good estimate.

The exciting part was when it pulled me right at that huge 40 foot yacht out there; I collided with it and had to use my off hand to peel myself around the bow all the while holding the tip down under water so the keel didn't break me off. Good times.

Great job all. I heard Saturday's radio chatter from Carlsbad. A couple of you must be transmitting at 5 watts.

Numbnut boaters aside, at least the guys on the yacht were agreeable about it. They assured me to do what I needed to do and not worry about their boat. So I didn't!

That's good. The guys I got towed into looked at me like I was inconveniecing them with my fish. This after they set up 50ft from me. They finally moved when I was just about to ram them, but even then they didn't clear but instead I had to almost get run in to them again before they finally got the idea to move off a little further. Argh!
