Pucker factor was high on the launch with some chest high breaks occasionally, but found a hole and spent a beautiful day on the water without many fish unfortunately.

Does the fishery slow down in the winter? I brought in only two small calicos around the kelp - headed out to the rockpile and landed a few small rock fish but nothing else.

Curious what you guys do in the winter when the surf is big? Are there good areas off the channel of Mission bay?

I was out yesterday as well and had a decent pick on rockfish in the 140ft and 220ft. The calicos were active for me either. Really nice day with not a lot of crowd.
